Why am I here on Substack? Well, I wanted a space to share my art stories and have the ability to offer art to readers …so here we go!

You don’t have to be an artist to read, subscribe or support my new art-focused Substack.

I intend to write a quarterly letter and will happily post “art process" posts of how I make certain artistic projects and that’s it.

I have my 1st art exhibition coming up at the end of July 2026! I’ve narrated the details below.

Not only have I been preparing for my 1st Solo Art Exhibition, I have been painting and sketching sunflowers for weeks, it seems. I love quick sketches!! Whether I ever get around to painting the sketched subjects, or not, is of no matter to me. The process of sketching, closing the book, then returning to the sketch is a lovely way to reexamine a fond memory.

It can be intimidating at first -once you see what seems to be a MONSTROUS HEAP of blank pages comprising a new sketchbook- but once you start allowing yourself to be less serious, more spontaneous and carefree… you’ll probably find it as fun as I do. Give it a try and please report back as to how it goes.
